Little did anyone know, these simple 151 pokemon would turn into 1,025 (and counting), become a worldwide phenomenon, and bring together people of all sizes, colors, ethnicity, ages, identities, affiliations, etc. Pokemon has bridged gaps no one would have ever foreseen, and lit imaginations and inspired people around the world. MFF is almost here!

MFF gets started up on Thursday the 30th. With only a few days left, I've decided it will be a good idea to drop a little hint for my contest. Back in the 80s/90s, games could be quite difficult. With limited lives, time limits, limited continues, and no save points... something arose to tip the scales in the player's favor. With but a single wish, you could have unlimited lives. Enter the command and the clock was frozen. Use the book or create your own, it was up to you. This *genie* of sorts could also have some nefarious intentions, and has plagued contestants numerous times before. From NES to Gameboy, it has appeared, but a new form emerges this year.

Defeat The Feet Uprising

Seriously, what the hell is going on here with DA? The A stands for ART. As much as we wish "everything" was Art, it's not. I don't know what the hell happened, but there has been a major uprising of the Foot Fetish here on DA, and it needs to stop. NOW. I'm not trying to shame anyone for their enjoyments, but DA is not the place for you to just collect feet pictures for your jollies. These submissions of screenshots from TV and Movies that have feet in them are NOT artistic, they are someone else's work (the studio's) and you don't get to upload their work to your Deviant Art. This is a place for ARTISTS. These are NOT art.

Taking screenshots or other people's fan art and slapping a colored outline of feet you found on Google is not ART. it is not "Free Use", it has NO Artistic Merit. None. This ridiculous behavior needs to end and DA has to put a stop to it. This is ridiculous. Every moment "I toOk tHiS piCtUrE Of mY fEEt" is on DA is an insult to this community and every single Artist on here. Even the nudes on here have more artistic integrity!

So in the last journal, I talked about the Paqui 1 Chip Challenge. Well we had a very unexpected turn of events since then! We had 4 chips then, we have 14 now! We had 1 sponsor then, we have 2 now! Before we we're going to eat them if we reached a goal... now we're eating them to help reach the goal! With the help of our sponsors, for each chip eaten, $50 will be donated to the Extra Life Campaign to benefit the Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago. This is $700 on the line! Unfortunately, the $175 we already have and the $700 from this would put us at $875. That's still $125 short of our goal for the year. To add to this, we also only have 10 people willing to help eat these chips so far. We still have 4 more chips to be eaten and $200 at stake! Dramatic situations call for dramatic measures. It is October and the Mario Bros of Lake County have only raised $175 this year for the Lurie Children's Hospital. Of that, $150 has been my own contribution. The goal is $1,000 for the year. That being said, we have enlisted the help of the famous Paqui 1 Chip Challenge. This chip has a reputation of being the hottest tortilla chip of all time. Released in limited amounts each year. If we can raise the missing $825 before the end of the year (December 31, 11:59:59pm CST), then our 4 brave volunteers will each eat a chip while recording and/or live streaming it for your entertainment! However, a donor has come forward with an offer. For each chip eaten, the donor will give $50 towards the Extra Life campaign AND $50 towards our yearly Christmas Toy Donation Spree for each chip. With that promised $200 for the campaign, we only need to raise $625. If we can reach it by Thanksgiving, that would give plenty of time to use the Christmas

This is a question I get asked constantly. It comes from those that are both legitimately curious as well as those in a sarcastic teasing manner. Regardless... the answer is generally always the same... and now a new reason has been added. Nintendo. Yeah, they mess things up once in a while compared to the others. It has been confirmed that someone is DDOS Attacking the Extra Life systems, causing intermittent system crashes and preventing people from being able to donate. I don't know what kind of vile scum would even consider, let alone do, this kind of sick actions. I had no intentions of promoting our fundraiser as we did our campaign back in July. I was wanting to stay quiet so others that are active right now can get the support. The local children's hospital I raise donations for is hosting a special event in 2 weeks where they invite members of Extra Life to come to the hospital to hang out with the kids, meet the families, play games, and try to raise donations for the hospital. I will be participating with my Switch, but the hospital has limited space and no internet in the area we will be in. I believe Mario Maker 2 has a big opportunity to be a great success in both making and playing. I am asking for people to make some levels good for kids probably age 6-14. I can download them to my Switch to play offline to be played without internet. This means multiplayer
